Accessing downtown Long Lake from either end of the new Highway 12 is as easy as following Wayzata Boulevard (Old Highway 12). If you are eastbound from Maple Plain, take the ramp up to the County Road 6 Bridge, turn left, go over the bridge, and turn right onto Wayzata Boulevard.

Westbound traffic on the freeway coming from Wayzata should take the Wayzata Boulevard exit (on the right just past the County Road 15 Bridge) in order to follow Old Highway 12.

Once on Highway 12 continue until you reach Old Crystal Bay Road, turn left, proceed straight until you reach Watertown Road, and turn right. Go about three blocks until you reach Leaf Street, turn left. Continue on Leaf Street. You will pass over Bayside and The Woods Chapel (formerly Weddings of Wayzata) will be on your right hand side.
